I think I'm coming down with something...

..and it's called "blog head."

It's similar to a condition I struggle with from time to time called "mall head" where my head starts reeling and I feel like I'm gonna faint from navigating in between too many clothing racks. "Blog head" is also a derivative of an illness I experienced yesterday when I was at a PACKED Los Angeles Zoo with my three monkey children called "zoo head" and its symptoms are the same as "mall head."

All of these head conditions are distinctly different from my other brain condition which is a constant in my life and I usually refer to it as "mind riddling" or generally "dreaming about other places I could be and other things I could be doing" instead of being a mom.

So "blog head" has rendered me useless today I think.  At least when it comes to blogging.  I am experiencing shortness of breath, dizziness, a bit of a racing heart, and dash of anxiety after spending wwwaaaaayyyyyy toooooo muuucchhhhh tiiimmmmeeee poking around these other brilliant blogs, you see, even going as far as continuing my exploration around blogland on my iPhone while driving.  Okay.  Scary.

For those of you who know about this condition, any advice would be helpful. For those of you who don't, mainly all of you MWOBS, I simply warn you to stay away from me just in case it's contagious.

  1. Oh dear. I hear you. I used to jot down notes when I thought of something I could blog about. There ended up being little post-it notes all over my kitchen and office. Now, I have upgraded to actually typing just a heading and a few sentences about a thought, in my blog, without publishing, to spark my memory for those days where "I got nothing!" It saves as a draft and then I can come back to it at a later date.

If that doesn't work, try a few drinks, anti-anxiety meds or any other "help" at your disposal and go to bed.

  2. I wish I had advice because I seem to have come down with it too. It is for sure highly contagious!
