Our One-Year Anniversary EVE.....and Happy Columbus Day!

....yep, tomorrow is the big day. One year ago tomorrow MWOB entered the blogosphere without a hint or a clue or a guess or an any ole' friggin' idea of what was to come.

And oh I am so much wiser now... or am I?

In any event, I'm taking today off from a regular post to spend some time contemplating and reflecting and pondering and thinking and deciding exactly how to celebrate this blogging milestone.

One year and we're far from belly up.

We're just hitting our stride.

So in honor of the big blogoversary, and in honor of Columbus Day (we're off school so who's reading blogs today anyway,) and in honor of all you adventurers and discoverers and pioneers, we're enjoying the day off today!

But we'll see you tomorrow for a special Tuesday post.

  1. Happy 1st, Lee! I'm off as well, but with a sick kid as we were supposed to be in school!
Can't wait to see how we celebrate tomorrow!
    Congrats.

  3. Congratualtions my friend. That is a true milestone ... but well worth it ... at least to your readers.

Your heart and soul are apparent in this little baby. I'm so glad to be right by your side while you explore new territory.

Your kids are off school???? Really?

  6. Congrats on the first year!

    and
please don't get me started on Columbus.(.whoops,I'm a loudmouth and I'm already "started" fresh from an essay about Social Studies.)

I'm like John Goodman's character in the Big Lebowski; except I don't keep blaming everything on Vietnam. I blame all social ills on the fact that Columbus ushered in the essential genocide of entire Native American populations...
Seriously, I'm not trying to be all PC or emo about this
I really effin' hate that guy and his lame excuses for getting lost and whatnot.

We never get any cool days off - just no mail delivery
Guess I should rely on smoke signals.....

  8. Well, apparently our schools are screwed up cuz I had no idea it was Columbus Day (yesterday) and I count on the School to keep me abreast of these issues. Thank goodness I read enough blogs to figure it out. Also Canadian Thanksgiving.

I want to keep this blog to myself; is that selfish or what? (i.e. not grow too big and commercial like another place I will not mention by name.) But I wish only the best for you!
